SHOTS FIRED METRES FROM CHILDRENS’ BEDROOMS

Meanwhile, police on the Tweed are investigating an early morning drive-by shooting at Banora Point, that happened just ten minutes before the Byron Clubhouse blaze. One man, along with a mother and several children were asleep when their front door and windows were hit with bullets. The man was shot at, after throwing a bottle at the gunmen. Tweed Police Superintendent Stuart Wilkes said, “There was a confrontation between the vehicle responsible for the drive by shooting and who we believe was the intended victim there was a confrontation took place there was at least one shot fired at a motor vehicle.” Just around the corner, another car was also fired on.
