Merewether surfer Ryan Callinan has got his campaign at the Oakley Lower Pro in California off to a great start, beating 11-time world champion Kelly Slater in round one. Callinan took out his heat with a two-wave total of 13.97, with Slater close behind on 13.74. Both have progressed to round two. Callinan will be up against New Zealand’s Ricardo Christie and fellow Aussie Perth Standlick in the final heat of the round. Read More »
