A 25-year-old rugby union player has died in John Hunter Hospital, after a head clash during a match in the New South Wales north west on Saturday. Nick Tooth was airlifted to Newcastle, after he collapsed during the first grade game between Quirindi and Narrabri. Tributes for the Quirindi local have poured in, with his club saying “the loss of this kind hearted and fine young man will be felt far and wide. The club would like to offer their support to everyone who has been touched by this tragic loss”. Club president, Charles Murray says it was a sad accident. Read More »

The Hunter’s Mollie Gray has signed her first professional contract as part of the Australian Women’s Rugby Sevens program. The 25 year old played for the Wallaroos at the World Cup and says it’s a dream come true to be able to play the game professionally.
