A stroke of bad luck for the Burleigh Bears, who came off second best against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls this afternoon at Pizzey Park. The Bears looked to be on the rise after last week’s win. NORTH COAST PLAYERS CHOSEN FOR STATE SQUAD

Despite going down in yesterday’s Tier Two Country Championship final, three players from the North Coast rugby league team have been selected in the state rep squad. Wauchope’s Beau White and Carlos Tahon-Martin, as well as Coffs Harbour’s Andrew Smith, were named in the New South Wales Country line-up. They’ll head to Sydney early next month for a training camp.
