NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS SIGN MASON FOR 2012

Willie Mason will resurrect his career with the Knights after signing with the club for the rest of the season. The move is a return home for the 32-year-old who played for the Macquarie Scorpions as a junior. Mason said he is aware he has plenty of hard work ahead of him to earn a spot in the NRL team. “I am grateful that Wayne and the club have shown confidence in me to contribute to the club and I will not be wasting the opportunity to not only perform on the field but to contribute to the Knights strong community programs,” Knights CEO Matt Gidley said, “We are pleased to be able to offer Willie an opportunity to re-establish his rugby league career back in his home town”.
