weather swansea bridge Glen Mcintosh

PHOTO: Swansea Bridge at night, sent in by Glen McIntosh. A large rain band made its way across the region today clearing from the Hunter early before arriving late on the Gold Coast. This passing front will leave behind a trough which will trigger showers and possible storms along the north NSW coast, adjacent ranges and SE QLD tomorrow. On Friday the stronger change will approach but the wet weather won’t arrive until Saturday mostly falling on the western side of the Divide. WEATHER UPDATE: RAIN BUILDING

weatherupdate201113

The current stalled trough causing the patchy wet weather across the region is going to deepen drawing more energy from the moist easterly winds. The drought hasn’t caused farmers to lose their sense of humour though. Saying. “It is so dry cows are producing powdered milk”. Storms developed across the northern ranges today and there’s more to come tomorrow. Every isolated shower and storm is important right now but it is a rain event that is needed. Scattered showers will form across the region in the coming days with more storm activity thanks to a stalled trough over NSW which may hang around until next week. Read More »
