DRUG RAID PORT MACQUARIE

6500 ecstacy tablets and 15 kilos of powder containing the prohibited drug Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV) have been seized during a raid on a business at Port Macquarie. Police raided the Jindalee Road property on Thursday afternoon. They also seized a pill press. The drugs have an estimated street value of a million dollars. Three men aged 49, 45 and 23 are facing numerous charges relating to the commercial supply of illegal drugs. All three were due to face Port Macquarie Local Court today. Read More »

FATAL HIT AND RUN IN PORT MACQUARIE

A woman has been found dead by the side of a road in Port Macquarie after an apparent hit and run incident. It’s believed the woman was hit by a car while jogging along Hill Street, with the driver leaving the scene. The woman, aged in her 30s or 40s, is yet to be identified and was carrying no identification. She’s described as Caucasian and was wearing dark clothing. Police are eager to speak to anyone with information on the incident. Read More »

SEVENS SUCCESS FOR ST PAUL’S

Port Macquarie’s St Paul’s high school has taken out a winning double at the annual Hastings Rugby League Sevens. The school’s under 14s and 15s teams beat Camden Haven High in this afternoon’s grand finals at the Wood Street complex. Camden Haven didn’t walk away empty handed though, winning the under 13s final over St Josephs Regional College.
