COMMUNITY MOURNS THE LOSS OF TEEN

The Port Macquarie community is mourning the loss of 17-year-old Hazel Kirkbride, who was killed in a truck collision yesterday. The year 12 student at Hastings Secondary College has been described as well-liked and popular with her peers. She was driving along Hastings River Drive with her 23-month-old nephew when her red sedan collided head on with a garbage truck. The toddler was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital with minor injuries, but Hazel died at the scene. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. (NO AUDIO) Read More »
