FATAL STABBING ON CENTRAL COAST

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal stabbing on the Central Coast. Just after midnight, police were called to a licensed premises on Main Road at Toukley, where they found two men aged in their 20s with stab wounds. Police allege the men were injured during a fight with four other patrons. Both were treated by parademics, but the 28-year-old went into cardiac arrest and later died. A 25-year-old man remains in a serious condition at Gosford Hospital. A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is assisiting police with their inquiries. Read More »

APPEAL TO FIND CENTRAL COAST WOMAN AND HER CHILDREN

Police hold concerns for the welfare of a Central Coast woman and her eight children, who’ve been missing since last week. 39-year-old Rachel Pawsey from Niagara Park was last seen on Friday boarding a train at Wyong with her children, aged between two and 14. Police say some of her children require medicine and they only have a limited supply with them. It’s believed Rachel may have headed towards Queensland. POLICE CATCH GROPER AFTER WILD SWAMP-LAND CHACE

A 36 year-old man has been charged, after allegedly leading police on a wild chase through swamp-land for almost an hour last night. Officers were called to Varsity Lakes just before 6 o’clock, after a woman claimed she’d been groped by the man while giving him a lift. “Male has jumped into the water…swimming over towards Varsity Central where The Lake Cafe is. He’s in the middle of the, middle of the water right now…and we had a taser presentation. DO YOU HAVE HIM IN CUSTODY? Male in custody!” The man was charged with assault, trespass and SEVEN counts of obstructing police. He’ll remain in hospital tonight before fronting court tomorrow.   Read More »

GUNS AND DRUGS SEIZED IN PEMBROOKE

A public tip-off has lead to the discovery of guns and more than $72,000 worth of cannabis, at Pembrooke, 25-kilometres west of Port Macquarie. Officers raided a home on Pembrooke Road on Wednesday, allegedly uncovering 36 plants growing in a hydroponic set up. A modified semi-automatic rifle, homemade silencer and ammunition were also seized. The 35-year-old male occupant has been charged with drug and gun offences. (NO AUDIO) Read More »

Police have renewed their appeal for information into a suspicious house fire at South Grafton in 2012. The home in Peppermint Place was destroyed by fire on October 17. 2,000 CANNABIS PLANTS SEIZED BY POLICE

Police have seized an estimated $5.3-million worth of cannabis plants from the Coffs Coast today. Officers found more than 2,000 plants, some reportedly four metres in height, from bushland in Bellingen, Dorrigo and Nymboida. The crop will be destroyed. Police are yet to make any arrests. DRUG LAB FOUND ON CENTRAL COAST

Police are appealing for information, after a clandestine drug lab was discovered on the Central Coast. Officers found the partially-dismantled lab in a home on Roselands Avenue at Wyoming yesterday afternoon, and again returned to the scene today. Police say at around 8:30 yesterday morning, two men aged in their mid 20s were seen running from the house. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact Crime Stoppers. FIVE REBELS BIKIE MEMBERS CHARGED

Five members of the Rebels Motorcycle Gang have been charged with a string of drug offences in Tamworth today. The men were arrested after a series of search warrants were carried out, including one at the Rebels Club House. Police have been investigating the gang’s alleged involvement in supplying amphetamines and methylamphetamines in the area since July last year. Read More »

SHOTS FIRED INTO WALLSEND HOME

Police are appealing for information, after shots were fired into a Wallsend home early this morning. Police say a number of bullets were shot into the Youll Street house just after one o’clock, before a car was heard leaving the area. No-one was injured.
