FORMER STAR STRIKER MAKES SURPRISE APPEARANCE

Former Golden Boot winner Adam Taggart was a surprise appearance at Newcastle Jets training this morning. While the popular former player donned the team’s training strip, he hasn’t re-signed with the club. The 21 year old, who is currently contracted with English Championship club Fulham, is struggling to recover from a groin injury. Fulham officials have allowed Taggart to return to Newcastle for a week or two to work on his recovery. The Newcastle Jets say they are only too happy to help get the former star striker back to full fitness. Read More »

MAN SUFFERS BRAIN INJURY AFTER FALLING FROM GOLF BUGGY

A 70 year old man has suffered a brain injury, after falling from a golf buggy at Hope Island last night. He was being driven along Rosebank Way by his wife, around six thirty, when she lost control. The man fell, hitting his head on the ground. It’s understood he’s in a critical condition at Gold Coast University Hospital. Read More »
