ELDERLY COUPLE INJURED IN HOUSE FIRE

An elderly couple has escaped with just minor injuries, following a house fire at South Tamworth. Police believe the pair was trying to start a log fire in their Warren Street home when the blaze started at around 6pm. Fire crews arrived a short time later to find the house well alight. They managed to rescue the couple from inside the home, before they were taken to hospital with minor burns. Read More »

TWO BABIES HOME WHEN HOUSE PEPPERED WITH BULLETS

Residents at a Coomera street are reeling, after three bullets were fired through the window of a family home overnight. The family of six, including two children, were all home…but no one was injured. Neighbours say they saw the shooter flee on foot and are puzzled that the family was targeted. “We were walking up to the swimming pool, a bit after eightish. We heard the bang, bang, bang. POLICE FIND CHARRED REMAINS INSIDE RUNAWAY BAY HOME

A body has been found amongst the rubble of a Runaway Bay home destroyed by fire at the weekend. Police found the body of a man in the bedroom… an area at the back of the property they labelled ‘the danger-zone’ – where they believe the fire first started. There have been grave concerns for the missing home-owner – Bradley Steel – since the blaze…with countless efforts to contact him over the past 4 days – all failing. LITTLE GIRL INJURED WHEN CAR PLOUGHED INTO HOME

A five-year-old girl playng in her frontyard was injured when a car crashed through a fence at Elanora. Police say the vehicle was clipped by another car before it hit the heavy brick wall. The structure fell onto the girl who suffered a fractured leg. A Gold Coast woman suffered burns, and her sister smoke inhalation, when their Tallai home was gutted by fire.
