NITTIES IN THE HUNT FOR HIS PGA TOUR CARD

Hunter golfer James Nitties has given himself every chance of returning to the PGA Tour, currently in a tie for 4th at the final event of the year on America’s second tier. A birdie on 11 was backed up by an impressive chip-in for birdie on 16. Nitties has carded rounds of 66 and 68, leaving him 33rd on the money list, needing to stay inside the top 50. QUEENSLANDER WINS SEASIDE CLASSIC IN PORT

Queesland golfer Rhondelle Ollett has won the Seaside Classic in Port Macquarie. Second spot was taken out by Denise Blanch from Wingham, seven shots behind the winner. Ollett had just a one stroke lead over Port Macquarie’s Gerri Lavender after Tuesday’s first round, but went on to win comfortably. Lavender’s rounds were 84 and 93.
