SINGLETON CRASH CLAIMS TWO LIVES

An 18-year-old woman has died in hospital, following a car crash south of Singleton on Saturday afternoon. The woman is the second victim, with a 16-year-old girl also losing her life, when the Toyota Camry they were travelling in left the Golden Highway at Whittingham and hit a tree. The 18-year-old was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, but died yesterday afternoon. Local police are assisting officers from the Crash Investigation Unit to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash. Read More »

Two people have died in a two-car crash on the New England Highway, north of Singleton. Police have confirmed the cars collided head-on at Rixs Creek at around 3:30pm, and both drivers passed away. Emergency services rescued another two people who were trapped. They’ve been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition. Drivers are being told to avoid the area if possible, with the New England Highway closed in both directions. Read More »

DOYALSON CRASH CLAIMS ANOTHER YOUNG LIFE

A nine-year-old boy has lost his fight for life, after a car crash at Doyalson on Saturday. A Holden Astra and Toyota Hilux collided on Wyee Road just after 5pm in heavy rain. The boy was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, along with his eight-year-old sister, but sadly both passed away. A 12-year-old boy, as well as four women aged between 31 and 61, were taken to John Hunter Hospital and are in a stable condition. Read More »

FOUR INJURED IN RAYMOND TERRACE CRASH

Four people have been injured in a car crash at Raymond Terrace overnight. At around midnight, a white Toyota Camry crashed into a pole on Parkway Avenue. Four people, including two men, a woman and a teenage girl, were taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment. A 53-year-old man is reportedly in a critical condition, while the 25-year-old driver will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. TWO KILLED IN HORROR MOTORCYCLE CRASH

Two people have been killed, in a horror crash at Buccan, near Beenleigh just after nine this morning. A motorbike rider and his passenger, both in their 50s, were flung 15 metres from their motorcycle after hitting a car at high speed. It’s believed they were overtaking a vehicle, when they crossed double white lines and smashed into a car emerging from a driveway. “Queensland Ambulance Service arrived with a number of paramedics and worked tirelessly with QAS and passerbys trying to revive and giving CPR to the two victims, and unfortunately they were unable to revive them” The 75 year old disabled pensioner who’d been driving the car is recovering in hospital. MAN AND WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN WOY WOY CRASH

A man and a woman suffered serious head injuries in a car crash at Woy Woy last night. Police say the driver of the Hyundai lost control of the vehicle on Woy Woy Road just before 11pm, crossing to the opposite side of the road and colliding with a four wheel drive. A 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman in the Hyundai were trapped for a short time before being released. The man was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, while the woman was taken to Gosford Hospital. The 54-year-old driver of the four wheel drive escaped uninjured. Read More »

MAN DIES FOLLOWING CRASH ON THE PACIFIC HIGHWAY

A 45-year-old man has died in hospital, after a two-vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway near Kempsey this morning. The 70-year-old male driver of the other car was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital this afternoon with serious injuries.
