The Newcastle Jets are reeling after a disastrous effort at home against Melbourne City. The Jets went down 5-2. A clumsy challenge from Allan Welsh gave City a spot kick inside three minutes. “And Mooy converts with real authority.” Soon after the visitors doubled their lead through Robbie Koren. Damien Duff continued the Jets’ misery in the 24th minute, making it three-nil.
