CLAUSON CONTINUES TO DOMINATE WORLD MIDGET CHAMPIONSHIP

Bryan Clauson continued his dominance in the World Midget Championships at the Lismore Speedway overnight. Clauson, who’s been almost unbeatable throughout the competition, led New Zealand Champion Michael Pickens and California’s Darren Hagen to the chequered flag. Sitting third-place on ladder, Tintenbar East-Ballina goes in confident against the seventh-placed Pottsville outfit this weekend. Although, Brett Crawford says the one-day match won’t be easy. “That suits their style of play, they certainly go at the ball hard so just keep the basics, out feilding, our catching really well.” They’ll be relying on another strong performance from Abe Crawford. Kyogle’s Shannon Walker has re-signed to play with the Australian Men’s Sevens team. The 26 year old was forced to quit the team last year due to back and hamstring injuries, ruling him out of the Commonwealth Games.
