BEAU SCOTT RELEASED FROM KNIGHTS, TO JOIN EELS

Kangaroos back-rower Beau Scott will be released from the final two years of his contract with the Newcastle Knights, on compassionate grounds. It means he’s free to officially sign a three year deal with Parramatta. He joined the Knights in 2013, after a move from St George, and has been one of the club’s most consistent players. “We wish Beau the very best for his future, both personally and professionally, and look forward to him returning to the field and leading our team throughout the remainder of this season,” CEO Matt Gidley said. SUPERBOATS BACK IN COFFS FOR ANOTHER YEAR

The roaring sound of superboats will return to Coffs Harbour for the fourth round of the Offshore Superboat Championship. The event was tipped to move back to Mackay, but following last year’s success, which saw Maritimo Newcastle take top honours, it will return to the Coffs Marina.
