ICC TROPHY COMING TO COFFS

Prior to one of the biggest sporting events in the world coming to Australia in February, the ICC World Cup Trophy is travelling around the country. Tomorrow it’s stopping in Coffs Harbour…from 10am at Brelsford Park, locals will have the opportunity to get their photo taken with the Trophy and also test their batting and bowling skills. An influx of beetles and wet weather has been blamed for the cancellation of last week’s Coffs Harbour Race Meeting. The bugs have now been dealt with and it’s hoped a new drainage system at the club will ensure 2015 is cancellation free. Read More »

NEW TRACK FOR SAWTELL BMX CLUB

 The Sawtell BMX Club has received asphalt on its berms thanks to Council community grants. Workers were busy covering sections of track today, which will stop it from washing away during heavy rain and allow for smoother racing. “It will be a lot quicker, a lot smoother, kids will feel more comfortable going around the berms, they won’t slide out it will help them compete with the Brisbane and Sydney tracks.” Tim Major, Sawtell BMX Club.
