Entries are now open for this year’s Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge. With several new categories added to the event line up, organisers hope the competition will attract more than 1,000 cyclists. “We’re having a 40 kilometre ride, as well as our 60 and 13 k massive hill climb, and we’ve also got some sub categories this year, which we hope will be very enticing for local people to join us.” Those wanting to register can head to the Cycle Challenge website, before the event begins on August 2.     Read More »

Rally drivers have hit the dirt in Coffs Harbour today for round 3 of the New South Wales Rallysprint Series. The event attracted 30 competitors from across New South Wales and Queensland. Local driver Mal Kehoe currently sits at equal third in his Audio Quattro, behind Michael South and Nathan Quinn. “We’ve had a pretty good day, the roads aren’t exactly suited to a Quattro, a bit tight, a bit twisty, but we’re nibbling away at them and we’re getting there.”   Read More »

WINNING STREAK CONTINUES FOR THE RAIDERS

The Urunga Raiders have continued their winning streak in North Coast Football’s premier league, downing the Coffs Coast Tigers five goals to nil. Urunga started the scoring within the first minute of the game, and soon doubled their lead through Ben Dooley. The Tigers were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet with a long range effort rebounding off the post. But the game was all but over when a penalty was awarded to the Raiders which was duly dispatched. The loss leaves the Tigers winless after four rounds of competition.   Read More »
