FANNING EQUALS MR’s BELLS RECORD

Mick Fanning has paid homage to Newcastle surfing legend Mark Richards, after equalling MR’s four wins at Bells. Fanning today edged out Adrian de Souza in the closest final in pro tour history. Both recorded combined scores of 15.27 in the decider, but Fanning won because he had a superior single wave score.
