RODNEY EADE TO LEAD SUNS

Rodney Eade has been announced as the new coach of the Gold Coast Suns. It’s understood the former Sydney and Western Bulldogs mentor agreed to take up the position this afternoon. The 56-year-old will take over from Guy McKenna. In the 90s, Eade coached the Sydney Swans to a grand final and also led the Western Bulldogs to three-straight preliminary finals from 2008. He then moved to Collingwood and last year became their football director. Read More »

There were some high flying, but very pretty painters at Jupiters Hotel and Casino today. They were sporting pink outfits to promote the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day. “Very visible today in aid of a great cause we’re every proud supporter and long time supporter of Cancer Council Queensland.” “Everyone jumped at it straight away actually everyone was very keen to support such a thing.” They’re painting the building as part of 345-million dollar Casino renovation. BRENT DORRINGTON THIRD AT SANTA CATARINA PRO

Coolangatta surfer Brent Dorrington has begun his climb, up the qualifying series ratings after a third place finish at the Santa Catarina pro in Brazil. Despite the small conditions, Dorrington fought hard, but went down in the semi final to eventual winner Michael Rodrigues.
