SINGLETON CRASH CLAIMS TWO LIVES

An 18-year-old woman has died in hospital, following a car crash south of Singleton on Saturday afternoon.

The woman is the second victim, with a 16-year-old girl also losing her life, when the Toyota Camry they were travelling in left the Golden Highway at Whittingham and hit a tree.

The 18-year-old was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, but died yesterday afternoon.

Local police are assisting officers from the Crash Investigation Unit to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
