In a whirlwind trip to the North West, the Governor of New South Wales David Hurley visited Tamworth today.
While heavy fog in the region this morning delayed Mr Hurley’s flight from Sydney, he arrived in Tamworth at lunch time to visit the newly completed Tamworth Regional Youth Centre.
Mr Hurley and his wife toured the $3-million facility and met with staff.
The governor was then presented with two shirts from youth services co-ordinator Stephen Blanch.
“We just want to say thank you very much to everyone who’s involved in this. Form the creation of it, for those who provide the services here and for those who look after the youngsters when they come here.”
