FOUR JETS WON’T BE RE-SIGNED NEXT SEASON

Four Newcastle Jets players have today been informed they will not be re-signed for the 2015-16 A-league season.

Among the surprise exits is Hunter-bred junior Taylor Regan, along with utility Sam Gallagher, goalkeeper John Solari and James Virgili.

26-year-old Regan has played his entire career with the Jets, starting in the club’s National Youth League team.

Meanwhile Max Burgess remains in discussions with the club, while Equadorian attacker Edson Montano is under consideration by management.

It’s also negotiating to retain Enver Alivodic.

“Today the coaching staff had to deliver some tough decisions to some great people. We certainly wish each of the guys that are leaving the club the very best in their respective futures,” said coach Phil Stubbins.
