WOMAN TO BE EXTRADITED OVER FAR NORTH COAST MURDER

A woman is expected to be extradited from Queensland today, charged in relation to the murder of a South Murwillumbah man last year.

46-year-old Michael Martin was allegedly murdered at his business on Quarry Road on June 13.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with his murder and remains in custody.

Yesterday, Tweed-Byron investigators and Queensland Police interviewed a 25-year-old woman from Elk about her alleged involvement as an accessory after the fact to murder.

She’s expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates court today where New South Wales Police will apply for her extradition.
