Police are appealing for CCTV footage from businesses, following the murder of a 41-year-old man at Wickham over the weekend.
At least two masked men entered Robbie Parry’s home on Dickson Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Witnesses reportedly heard people making demands for money and drugs, before a shot was fired.
Police began CPR when they arrived, but Mr Parry couldn’t be revived.
Detectives are asking businesses or residents within three kilometres of the street, and who have CCTV, to call Newcastle Police or Crime Stoppers.
